DRESSED
Dressed has become one of the IIDA Georgia Chapter’s largest annual events. The event gives Atlanta designers a unique opportunity to partner with architectural and design (A&D) industry manufacturers to create one of a kind, wearable garments out of non-traditional materials for a runway extravaganza like you have never seen.
Teams of 2-5 designers are challenged to construct a highly unique garment made almost entirely from their sponsoring manufacturer’s products including: wallcoverings, flooring materials, deconstructed contract furniture, paint and more. The sky is the limit as these designers test their imagination to create articles of clothing from materials traditionally used to create buildings.
Our mission for Dressed is to give designers a unique opportunity to unleash their creativity, while promoting the IIDA Georgia Chapter and our industry partners and manufacturers at a runway extravaganza like no other. Teams have the opportunity to connect with the Atlanta architectural and design (A&D) industry in a creative and “out-of-the-box” format, working together to create one of a kind, wearable garments, made almost entirely from their sponsoring manufacturer's products.

We are so excited for another year for one of IIDA's most iconic events, Dressed! This year we’re taking you on a trip across canvases and back through the ages to experience the art of many cultures and historical periods. In 2023, IIDA Dressed in Art, looks to challenge teams into thinking outside of the box by creating an inspired garment that reflects, emulates, and creatively depicts a famous work of art created by a master artist.
Dressed is here to showcase what the Interior Design community can do outside of just beautiful and functional spaces. Get ready to be inspired and transported through time periods and art styles with a fun, creative interpretation of some of your favorite artists’ paintings and fashion styles from our teams.
